An arts and community development leader, educator, strategic planner, artist, and museum professional with over 15 years of experience in policy development and implementation, multi-layer funding strategies, planning, arts integration, and community engagement, Laura Walker, Principal of Walker Arts Management, strives for a foundational approach in arts application, unique to each community. Her diverse, cross-sector background, ranging from non-profit to government work, across disciplines from social service, economic development, and the arts has allowed her to envision and apply concepts that have transformed communities across the nation. Her ability to assess, envision, and apply sustainable, creative solutions to community planning and projects is evident through the outcomes. She has worked in four distinct areas of the United States, including Indiana, Oregon, Florida, and Illinois. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family.
